Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Brooke County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's terms and privacy policy govern its handling of the query.

If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the message and the contact details needed to respond. We do not share that submission beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Official and Outside Websites
Brooke County Released Inmates links to the Brooke County Sheriff, West Virginia courts, WVDCR records and offender-search pages, federal locators, and third-party search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's own privacy policy controls. West Virginia public-record access is governed in part by West Virginia Code §29B-1-3, while §29B-1-4 identifies exemptions. Those laws concern agency records and do not turn this private site into their custodian.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. We do not operate or control those outside tracking systems.
